Gojo Satoru perished in the Pool of Exchange, trading all of his love of Geto Suguru for a piece of the puzzle. His soul is lost to the Planes, swallowed up again by a strange one offering him the puzzle piece. And then, once more, another Plane takes him, the one in Spain connected to the village of Scawwy.
Water-logged, Gojo will drop into the vineyard, the hole in his chest turned into a scarred, blistering red area on the chest and back which aches terribly when he's in Geto Suguru's vicinity. Any feelings of love, friendship, and devotion for Geto Suguru won't return until tomorrow morning. While he doesn't show Geto Suguru any hate, he will be cold and distance. The rest of his injuries remain the same as they were.
The three of you fall forever inside of nothingness. There isn't anything around you to form a comparison, so you do not know how fast or slow you fall nor how long you fall either. Time goes on and on, and you are left with only yourselves, alone, falling, and falling, and falling. Lucas, a Wizard consumed entirely by his rage and desperation, now with empty arms and only memories of his sister. Kate, a Sorceress burdened by the deaths of fifty cats, and the strange encounter with Yussa Errenis, master of the Tidepeak Tower. And Nona, a Ranger cornered by her friends, missing an entire vital appendage for shooting a bow.
Gojo is missing for a while, their Warlock who had sacrificed love for a piece of truth. But they run into him again, briefly, in the little room filled with the excerpt they can't take. And then they are returned again from whence they came.
LUCAS
The darkest parts of Lucas are running rampant and unbridled. As he emerges into the place on the other side, he will be full of rage and violence, full of a shocking strength and endless determination to kill. Someone will have to stop him... He at least can only do so much with his other injuries, but I release you as a maniac upon the graveyard.
NONA
In addition to her injuries, Nona is taken by the idea her friends are not her friends after all. They will find her, and they will get her - for the greater good. She has bouts of paranoia when around and speaking to anyone else, both verbal or written.
KATE
SWEET KATE. Saddled with the idea she chose life once more over the lives of many, many cats, she will begin to cry with any knowledge of them presented to her. The word "cat," or playful vocal meows, visually seeing cats themselves or in artwork, all of it will trigger Kate's remorse.
One moment, you are minding your own business - dead, alive (one of you) - the next, you are thrown together without warning. Lucas, Kate, Satoru, Nona. You are yourselves as you remember, and yet, here you are knowing additional things about yourselves, too: your classes, your companions, your inventories, your spells and abilities.
The group of you arrive by ship to the port city of Nicodranas, disembarking at a dock near the Nicodranas Sky Port.
The city has colorful rooftops and towers vary in height and design, giving an eclectic visual of a jumble of cultures having built this space without unified vision.
The city exterior wall has many gates and archways with portcullises that are held up by a chain mechanism beyond the wall. The gates are guarded by Zhelezo that run the city. Towards the coastline, the walls slowly diminish in steps and extend out into the ocean. The walls beyond the exterior were once grey, but through the years of accumulating seagull excrement they became light grey with white patterns.
Together, you venture to the Open Quay, the southwestern area of the city, on Guild instruction to obtain the Heirloom Sphere from Tidepeak Tower.
Lying in the the center of the Open Quay, Tidepeak is a singular 450 foot tall massive tower that looms over the entire district. It has a diameter of 90 feet and has no doors or windows. It has a number of small balconies dotted around the tower and it comes to a slight roofed peak that is a sharpened point. It is made of dark- and light-flecked emerald stone. It sticks out, and there are no buildings up against it.
The tower seems to have some sort of permanent illusion cast over it which makes it appear smaller at a distance, and grows to its full height when approached. This enchantment allows the tower to seem unobtrusive and inconspicuous on the Nicodranas skyline.
Currently, you all are standing about 30 yards from where you can see the tower ahead...
Whoa! Another outfit change... [that said i don't know what her fit is i'll figure that out later. she has two shortswords and a longbow... waow. looks at who's with her.] Gojo!
[and, like, kate and lucas. NOT TO IGNORE YOU TWO BUT SHE JUST SAW YOU YESTERDAY PROBABLY. AS OF THIS TIMING ICLY. IT'S NOT AS SHOCKING AS SEEING GOJO........... 2!]
... I guess we're doing this, huh? Let's be careful.
[HE'S ALSO JUST STARTLED TO BE HERE. WELL OKAY. He's in a fancy dnd outfit too that i also will figure out later. He's got a quarterstaff! There is also a white snake coiled loosely around his neck.]
...Oh, dear. [THIS MIGHT AS WELL HAPPEN.] Hello, Gojo. You two, as well. [Even though they all just saw each other yesterday probably THIS IS FINE.]
Toward the tower, is it? Abundant caution to all of us, indeed.
[Moving to take a lead-ish position because he's used to being the local tank.]
The four of you land together on the dusty, chilly stone of a wide hallway. Nothing is behind you but a dead end of stone wall. Ahead of you, six thick columns, three on each wall left and right. Torches flicker high on one side of them, illuminating the hallway.
At the very end is a large, wooden door guarded by two stone cannons with a blue glow inside of the mouth of them. Between the cannons, at the door, is Yussa. He looks back at the four of you with fear and trepidation, and then he turns and flees through the wooden door.
[ (insert smash bros gif) kate sure did just go fucking flying! after getting tossed up the stairs and falling down them onto lucas and now being transported somewhere else, she's a little slow to get up.
her hood's down now, allowing a cloud of soot to rise from her head as she pushes herself up from the floor. ]
Inside, Lucas can tell the giant, round, white thing is the face of an enormous grandfather clock. The time is 12:04 and becomes 12:05 with a loud, echoing tick as Lucas glances up.
He's standing on a platform that stretches from wall to wall on all of your side, and it extends outward a few yards before ending. The gap there between the end of it and the next platform where the clock is sitting is endless and black, dropping off into nothing.
On the platform with Lucas, there is a wooden chest off to the right and a large, elegant mirror off to the left against the wall the door is on...
Across the gap on the other platform with the clock, there is another wooden chest, another mirror, and a door at the base of the clock. By the door is your great, wonderful friend, Yussa!
"Leave me alone!" he says, his voice clearly speaking around Lucas's vicinity. And then he rushes inside of the door and disappears.
[THERE HE GOES. Well fuck. First he'll glance behind himself to make sure he hasn't LOST ANYONE and then he'll look at mirror, just peering at its reflective surface first to see if he sees anything... fukken weird.]
[ rather than look at the mirror, she's glancing at this chest on the platform with them. does it have a lock on it? if she looks carefully, can she see any signs of traps or oddities? this is a conspicuous place for a chest. ]
Ahead of him, lying in the dirt is a girl in a little cream-white nightgown which has become somewhat messy from what looks to be her fall. A book has spilled off to the side of one of her hands, its mangled pages and spine from the way it has haphazardly opened when it fell from her grasp.
[NO ONE ELSE GETS THE OTHER HALF OF HIS FUNNY TIKTOK CUT OFF SCREAM BECAUSE NO ONE IS HERE!!!!!
Except for the girl lying in the dirt. Thinking about how Lucas has already been through this before and yet his stupid ass will fall for it every single time.]
—Nadia?!
[HELLO!! NOT AGAIN what the fck he's immediately abandoning the .05 second thought he had of trying to figure out what happened and how to get back in favor of running over to her side. The book doesn't even get a glance just yet, he's just scooping her up into his arms.]
Somehow, she's on the ground, and looking up, she sees a young man hovering over her, holding her by one arm. "Are you alright?" he asks.
Two other people are also hovered over her: a girl with two long, reddish braids, and a young man with short, spiky, blonde hair. The girl is in casual clothes, but the young man has a wide, long sword strapped to his back.
Kate feels like she opens her eyes, but really it's more of a growing conscience of self-awareness. She is in a very small, stark-white room and covered in...
...cats.
There are at least twenty-five different cats here, surrounding her, on top of her, batting at her, loafing about, finding a new place to settle, meowing, purring, chirping, hissing. It's a lot of cats. There are truly so many cats here.
She realizes that she is just a single, little ball of yellowish light. An orb.
The sound of rushing water comes to Gojo's ears. He opens his eye to a ceiling above him which is covered in moss and vines.
The room is smaller. The water is trickling from an elaborate fountain pool in the center of the room, the marble decorated by carvings of hands flowing inward in the direction of the fountain.
There isn't anything else inside the room except a plaque at the front of the fountain.
