[It's fine he will move to try to go through hole first so that neither sweet Nona nor precious Kate have to (what about Gojo) he's probably got darkness immunity since his eyes and hair practically glow.]
[ from inside her robe, she'll tear away a patch with a little mirror embroidered on it. the patch becomes a steel mirror in her hands, which she then pockets.
and she'll go ahead and enter the darkness. if gojo will go ahead of her that's fine. you two can roll to see who's the alpha here. ]
You step through the black doorway, one by one. Lucas, Kate, Nona, Gojo. The other side spits all of you out inside the tower. The door does not disappear behind you, but it does close with a surprising lack of noise.
There is a gathering chamber or very simple sitting room at the base of the tower containing two couches facing each other at an angle upholstered in velvety deep red-brown maroon. There are no windows but it has a hanging chandelier, a very simple metal ring with glass baubles placed in six different places along it that give a soft, pulsing, warm orange glow. It has a nice dark, comfortable den atmosphere.
A figure casually descends the only staircase in view, and they stop cautiously just at the bottom. It's an elf with rich, dark brown skin; short, white hair; and orange eyes. His features are high and angular, and he is clothed in browns and golds. The gold in his robes has a sheen to it as if it is actual gold rather than imitation fibers. For as many elves as you can remember, this man is one of the shortest - just at five foot, or maybe a little shorter. There are crows feet at the corners of his eyes, and for an elf, you know that definitely means he is very old. He looks you all over with wary appraisal.
[Politely, with a lil half-bow of greeting! He will go wherever Kate goes actually because he's trying to keep an eye on everyone but he feels like if things start to explode, it would be best to be close to Kate so he can grab her like a football and run.]
[ kate gives a polite bow, keeping her hood up to try to minimize her suspicious appearance, at least for now. and then she'll go sit with apparently lucas. ]
Once they are all seated, the elven man will finally venture over. CROSS-LEGGED ON HIS COUCH?????????? His expression is baleful, if so, but neutral if not. Altogether aloof regardless. Guarded. He looks all of you over one by one again. Gojo is the last one he looks at.
"Not many people come knocking so casually on Tidepeak Tower walls," he says as he has a seat on the opposite couch across from you all. His feet don't go on the couch. "Go ahead.
"Procure your methods and your... artifact." You have them ready, right? "Who sent you...?"
[He's also sitting very elegantly, Gojo is the only heathen here... Unless hei meant he was sitting with his legs crossed like a supermodel and not crosslegged with his legs up and we're all just trusting anna assigning gojo heathen.
ANYWAY!!]
I do apologize if it was a bit too casual... We've spent quite some time on the seas, but we've heard a good deal about this place. We were sent by Muelsyse, from- [THINKS FAST.] -Greenland.
[JUST STEALS MUELSYSE'S IDENTITY FOR THEIR LARPING.]
WOW. No, it's fine. There is only neutrality as long as feet aren't on the couch. Aki said that I assigned you heathen, and I guess I still do because this is Gojo.
MUELSYSE FROM GREENLAND. The elf's brows furrow in confusion, but he doesn't say anything about it. Muelsyse is a very nice elf name actually. His eyes shift over to the mirror curiously.
"....Tea."
Look. Sometimes.......... you have a thing, and the thing is tea.
[ i hope he's looking at this mirror like he's on a friday invest and cannot identify common objects. kate is as unreadable as always as we all push this off on gojo. ]
Yup! You'll have to come along with me to the kitchen so you can see the process. I'd say I need the leaves and some specific tools for the demonstration, but for a big tea connoisseur I'm going to assume you have almost everything.
[ YOU ARE ALL MAKING HIM DO TEA AND HE'S LIKE COOL... MY FAMILY ISN'T FROM KYOTO, BUT WE ARE AN ANCIENT CLAN. ]
The other three aren't needed, but Lucas can come if you think you need some assistance. [ Uncrosses his legs. ] By the way, I'm Gojo Satoru!
He is looking at this mirror like he is on a Friday invest, and he really needs a pair of Trial Eyes instead. Please! There is a brief glance of conflict between Kate and Gojo, as if he can't decide whether he wants to go with Gojo for the promise of tea, or whether he is skeptical enough to remain here for artifact chats.
"And you are?"
He again looks at the rest of you in turn for a second - Kate, Lucas, Nona. The way Gojo just handed out his wholeass real name.
[ I'm sorry for you all but he does think he's stranger danger rather than things would be a stranger danger to him (he'd get stabbed even if he didn't give out his full name is the baseline).
Hmmm. The apprehension sort of eases out of the elf as he slowly stands. But he does not move from where he is at yet.
"Yussa Errenis," he offers to you all in return.
This is, of course, the elf you had heard about on the ship, even if the gossipers didn't know what he looked like, hermit that he seems. Yussa Errenis, the one who lives in the strange tower in the middle of the Open Quay which he owns. A connoisseur of tea and magical artifacts.
"The only reason people see me without an appointment is to steal the Heirloom Sphere."
He does not wait. A single word in what you all think must be elvish springs quickly from his mouth. You can feel the edges of yourselves begin to vibrant as Yussa casts Scatter.
Now everyone must make a Wisdom saving throw by rolling a d20.

Gojo can manage as long as there's access to a kitchen.
[Just shoves it off on Gojo.]
Do let me know if you need any help, though.

I'm Nona. [nona also doesn't know stranger danger. have her real name.] You should really check out Gojo's tea demonstration!
[do not ask for a mirror demonstration.]

My name is Lucas; it's lovely to make your acquaintance. I do hope that you'll enjoy his method of preparation - I found it quite fascinating, myself.
