Mortuary
housing
Home sweet home, or in your case, a dilapidated building. Of course, nothing is stopping you from finding shelter elsewhere, but at some point you must have stepped into this building or slept under its roof, so this is home; while it's not very plush, do you really want to risk sleeping outside?
There is also a small plaque on the mailbox now with everyone's names engraved on it. Trying to deface it will result in more papercuts, for some reason. The names read:
Astarion Ancunín, Gale of Waterdeep,Karlach Cliffgate, Nona, Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, Vin
By your sleeping arrangements, there are chests to hold whatever items you opt to place in them, which cannot be publicly accessed like the rest of your house. Otherwise, guests are free to come and go or sleep over, though going over the maximum suggested occupancy will be uncomfortable and cramped. Guests will also be unable to access to this post. Characters are also free to stay at any of the other housing locations, with the same stipulations.
Feel free to use this post for any resident gatherings, updates, etc!

For your easy reference: An industrial, cold building with no windows, brown-stained floors, and the metallic smell of blood. Five adult, wooden coffins sit neatly in a row near two metal surgical tables. Often, scratching can be heard from inside one of the coffins. Opening any of the lids reveals only an empty nest of plush velvet lining, perfect for long naps out of the sun. If the lanterns on the walls are still too bright, there is a tiny basement level with two extra coffins, not a sliver of sunlight or lamplight to be found. Additionally, the basement houses a chest with several velvet blankets inside.
Out front, a large, wooden mailbox sitting on a sturdy pole. There is enough room for all deliveries for every individual assigned to this housing.

Six?
no subject
What do you think it means?

`Six is the magic number. Forty was too many. Less than six and it's a bad soup.`
I think perhaps it means that we should not drop below six?

I'll talk to Famine.

But yes, I'm happy to consult with the Overseers as well. Hopefully they can clear up the difference?

[true to her word the feelings are just Stress, but she nods]
Let me know what you find out.

So going below six would pose an issue for that as well.

[thinks for a moment]
Don't they need to kill us for the ritual to happen? I'd think we'd want to avoid that.
no subject
I really think we are going to need to go through with it in some fashion.
[ also, sorry, his wizard brain means he really wants to see what happens! yay :) ]

I'm going to go talk to Famine.

It says at least though, doesn’t it? I don’t think how many there are at the end may be the issue, as long as there’s more than six people here. 18, 15, 12, whatever — it’s more than six?
[ rereads this at 7am ] I.. think? I’m not sure we have the time to kill 12 more people, unless we plan on coordinating at the last minute and going about it that way.

The soup metaphor has proved confusing. It seems that we would like to aim for bad soup. Though Pestilence seems to to think we are on ... erm. Track. To achieve this without panicking.
That is what the warnings are about. Not going too quickly and attracting attention, or killing too many and we simply cause the cult to call in a new group.

There’s… nineteen of us left, no? Are you saying we need at least 14 people dead in the next couple of weeks?
[ the emotions aren’t anxious so much as somewhere between exhausted and resigned. ]

We would like to create a bad soup. But one cannot rush soup. This soup metaphor is becoming confusing.
It seems we will need less than 6 of our number alive by the time the ritual will come to pass, but we cannot rush this process - it will draw attention. We already lose quite a few each week, so perhaps we simply remain calm.

[ since they'd been going back and forth on whether that was a good or bad thing ]
But it's kind of pointless if we don't have a way of them scraping the entire soup [ killing the remaining living ] and starting over, right?
