Rulebook
the fine print

Posted on the same bulletin board as the IC profiles is a piece of parchment titled RULES AND GUIDANCES. These seem to be written a bit hastily in comparison to the profiles, but it's still perfectly legible. Attempting to tear it down will give you a very unpleasant paper cut, but also, the sheet will magically be replaced as quickly as it's ripped off.

Everyone will also receive their own copy of the rules in a small book. They are free to mistreat these however they'd like.

Rules and Guidances
General
  • You are stuck here for the next few weeks! Bummer.
  • Please be mindful of how you act in public. The hills have eyes.
  • You may use the crows to reach out to us! We have the right to tell you no.
  • Confess your sins! Tell 5 different people one thing you regret or feel guilty about.
Monsters
  • Your arrival here has given you an affinity to a specific monster. This affinity grants you certain abilities of that creature, but make sure to use it wisely.
  • There is one other person with a matching monster affinity. Locating that person and confirming you are a match will upgrade your power, and give you other rewards that are only obtainable through it.
  • However, once you have confirmed that match, your life becomes tied with the other person's. If they die, you will also die.
  • You may only share your monster affinity with three people per week. If you try to do more than that, that uncomfy burning will happen again!
  • It is not mandatory to share this information with others, or to find your matching pair. If you would prefer not to, then keep this information to yourself.
  • In the event that your partner dies before you form a connection, you can instead match with someone else who is similarly unpartnered. You will receive the same benefits and follow the same rules.
Death
  • In the event of someone's monster going out of control, or potentially any other fatal encounter, it will be up to all of you to uncover the events of the incident and figure out the culprit.
  • You will have the weekend to solve it, starting with investigating on Friday and ending in completing the ritual on Sunday.
  • You will all vote for whoever you believe committed the crime! Majority rules. Voting is mandatory.
  • You must live with your choices.
