Home sweet home, or in your case, a dilapidated building. Of course, nothing is stopping you from finding shelter elsewhere, but at some point you must have stepped into this building or slept under its roof, so this is home; while it's not very plush, do you really want to risk sleeping outside?

There is also a small plaque on your mailbox with everyone's names engraved on it. Trying to deface it will result in more papercuts, for some reason. The names read:

Asa Mitaka, Ashlyn Banner, Aqua, Daan, Iwatooshi, Marian Hawke, Robin, Rondo

By your sleeping arrangements, there are chests to hold whatever items you opt to place in them, which cannot be publicly accessed like the rest of your house. Otherwise, guests are free to come and go or sleep over, though going over the maximum suggested occupancy will be uncomfortable and cramped. Guests will also be unable to access to this post. Characters are also free to stay at any of the other housing locations, with the same stipulations.

Feel free to use this post for any resident gatherings, updates, etc!

For your easy reference: A small, wooden cabin with only four bedrooms. The chipped wood is worn, often dusty at the crevices, and prone to creaking. The windows have a grimy film on them, masking the view from outside and within. The simplicity belies the occasional strange groan of floorboards, or moving shadows across the wall. A perpetual chill permeates the building at night, and anyone plagued by insomnia can sometimes see a dark figure watchfully peering into one of the windows before it vanishes. Each room has two rickety beds, and the cabin can sleep up to eight reasonably. A chest sitting at the end of the hallway has a few extra thread-bare blankets and four magically lit lanterns. Outside around the corner are two plain outhouses for those who need daily quiet time.

Out front, a large, wooden mailbox sitting on a sturdy pole. There is enough room for all deliveries for every individual assigned to this housing.

To the northeast, a stream curves south, making for prime pool party real-estate, or even a place to bathe. Just don’t swim after dark.

Most of my letters are full of personal correspondence, but there were some things that stood out to me.

Is it the case for the rest of you?

I don't know about that, but people have brought up the number six and rocks. Separate thoughts, I think, but important somehow.

I heard they were collecting rocks from Yuffie last week, but there wasn't any context for it.

If someone is asking Asa to ask about runes.... I wonder if that's part of the ritual.

That would make sense. Everything around here seems to have something to do with stupid rituals.

It's a matter of finding out what they do for the ritual. I wonder if that's a question the Overseers can answer, or if that's something we have to look for ourselves.

I was planning to talk to them tomorrow, but it wouldn't hurt if more people did too. Since we might come up with slightly different questions and get different answers.

It's really starting to sound like they plan to build the god, instead of just summoning it from nothing.

Perhaps they need something to summon the god into. A vessel.

Summoning a god is a bit different from where I'm from. It isn't quite so.... piecemeal.

I-S-A-I-K...? Do you think there are more capitalized letters behind what was redacted?

I got a letter from Aerith that shared some things relevant to us, too. For a little context, I asked her about that ominous-feeling room those weird items are coming from. [the cyoa items, she means. but she will show the following parts:

I asked everyone here about your question, and we're not sure either. Rocks are our specialty that we're trying to figure out. Ask about runes, see what you can find out. Can you tell us what the first fog group found?

By the way… 6 is the baseline. 40 didn't matter, just extra padding. Less than 6 = bad religion, failed recipe. Keep that in mind.]

It's likely. The only other time I saw them blanked out for names or for things I couldn't guess even with context clues.

[ she frowns. ]

So our numbers can't go below six or else they'll restart the entire ritual. I haven't heard much about runes from others.

Was there anything in particular you asked her that she might be answering there?

[frowns as well, thinking...]

We only have a little longer to go, but if we keep losing 5 people every week... We're not going to be at six or more by the time they're ready to summon their god.

No... I didn't ask any her a question. I only mentioned how I wasn't sure about how much I should reach out to others.

It's only a couple weeks left, isn't it? It'll be close if it we continue at that rate, but the cult also won't want our numbers to reach that low either. They want it to be a success.

Right. It would totally ruin their plans of summoning their god.

[so it's a bad thing for the cult? but there's a sense of dread creeping in as she keeps thinking about it.]

... I don't want to commit to the idea before confirming it with others.

That's what we're all trying to figure out right now. I don't have much context either.

All this secrecy is starting to drive me mad.

It can't be helped. There can't be veil over us all the time.

Keeping up with all these moving parts is going to be far more troublesome than the secrecy surrounding it. As we've probably all come to realize, I'm no good at these sorts of things.

[sonorant]

[ sorry about your veil and your fade, hawke. ]

It would be simpler and easier for us all if we could come together and discuss this all at once, but...

[ well. hawke did start bleeding out of her orifices. ]

I don't suppose if we just shove ourselves under the theatre for a few minutes that would work. Given how few of us are left, we'd probably all fit.
