Well, I mean, I was worried that the cult got their hands on the bodies for creepy cult things. But what kind of asshole tries to dig up a grave? That's going to far.
It's less the ritual and more that the place we are in changes frequently, so it was most likely it reacting to what was going on. So the ritual did cause it in a sense, by occurring there, but it wasn't the ritual that made that happen. If we held the ritual in any other location, something else bonkers would have happened.
