Shifting gears, then. Would someone who killed outside of the usual Thursday night timeframe still be eligible to claim one of those prizes from the swamp? Or is there some fine print about the timing?

... you don't have to agree with what happened. In general, I had encouraged Laudna to bring up how to handle things like that with the group since I knew you guys weren't all in agreement about it.

I don't know how I feel about it. With the information we had at the time I don't think it was an unreasonable move, especially if they weren't aware she was planning to keep herself locked up in the barrier that night... assuming she really was planning it.

... I mean, if there hadn't been a chance of that being an option, I'm not sure I wouldn't have at least tried to do it myself.

I think that's what a lot of people would have jumped to. And I don't think it's wrong. Whether they kill now or later, in the end there's going to be bodies at some point... so I don't really think anyone is wrong for thinking it needs to be taken care of immediately, or to give them more time. I think it's mostly just... making a decision that you can live with, and knowing the weight of that choice.

That would at least be the plus side in sharing your affinities with others, since you can at least let people subtly know if someone had a partner or not.

Yeah, I guess. I'm still trying to decide if it's worth trying to find mine or not. Or, well... I'd like to find them for my own knowledge, but I don't know if I want it going both ways.

I don't think it would hurt to just figure out who it is, and then deciding from there? A few people have been looking for theirs.

Well, it's a matter of doing that and keeping it one-sided if I don't actually want to join up with them... it'd look weird if I approached someone to ask for theirs and then refused to give mine in return.

Oh... They got upset at everything that was happening. They didn't mind people taking its sap from them, for the most part, but then after Camille died they weren't happy with the group of us and thought we were greedy.

I guess throwing you all around was the tree lashing out.

Oh, that was a god. Not like... any god involved in what we're doing. They bonded with the tree to help each other grow. I'm not sure what happened after that, and since the location is gone I probably won't be able to.
