Really? I've never thought of it as a hobby in its own right, not really. The things I can do and make with magic can be a hobby.

I do not limit myself to one school of it. However, the magic I am most interested in only few know and understand much less are able to utilize effectively.

To a degree. I always had a little Some of it I learned later, from a sort of mentor of mine.

It is not completely unheard of, but it is rare. I don't have to be offended by your innate abilities. I have worked ceaselessly to be where I am, and that satisfies me enough. I will only get stronger.

I'm certain you will. Personally, I've never understood the distinction much. I was born with a little innate magic, but I wasn't born with the ability to go to school and learn how to do it academically.

One head start seems indistinguishable from another. And led to much the same place.

You have a privileged not many arcane academics are afforded, and some can become embittered to the idea when they have been required to put in the effort.

But some of those still have privilege as well they forget. Money, sponsors, family, even a mentor, or a school.

I don't know where the magic comes from. It certainly didn't run in my family. But I've heard of it happening from time to time. The others I've met were all born under the moon Ruidus, but even so.
