Ludinus! I'm not entirely sure what he wants. He hates the gods and claims he only wants them dead and no other damage would be done, but he's quite a nasty man and no one else we've met trusts that his goals end there. I don't really have any fondness for the gods myself, but giving any more power over the fate of the world to someone like that would not be wise.
He used something called a Malleus Key. Three devices - one in the Shadowfell, one in the Feywild, and one in the Material Plane. We managed to destroy the Feywild key, but the ones who were sent after the Shadowfell Key failed to destroy it, and he was able to use the Material Plane key to at least begin the process. [that fuckin' useless monk and wizard...] Quite a complex little device, but all of them were powered by magical artifacts of some kind or another.
