[ hi gale... whatever he is doing, he will be greeted by a crow just suddenly swooping in and pecking at him. pesto will follow after apologetically. ]
[ he's in the refectory kitchen, cooking, since he did promise Famine he'd show off. Though at this point he's mostly just leaning against the table that is definitely in the kitchen and drinking alcoholic grape juice, so apparently his style is "leisurely." ]
No apologies necessary, Pestilence. These things can be more than chaotic. I hope you got some rest.
... Well, Famine asked me to make what I consider to be my greatest culinary triumph, so I thought, ah, the classic Dekarios family quipperfish and hundur sauce, but then they mentioned they are not a fan of spice, so I think, perhaps some alternatives. Cassoulet should be fairly simple if time consuming, flavorful without heat, but it does require some constant tending and a trained hand to make sure it does not simply boil into mush, and then I began to consider if those two dishes would rather clash with one another at the table. You see, a sour-sweet seafood flavor and a rich, hearty meat-forward dish do not necessarily a happy marriage make. Completely different wine pairings to begin with. Something to bridge the two, then, so I thought, ah, bouillabaisse. A bit of the readily available seafood with the breadth of ocean flavors, and some brightness of the vegetables. Then again, bouillabaisse is one the most contested dishes ever made. Two of my cousins beat each other to pulp over the inclusion of oil once.
So then I gave up and started drinking, so that is about where I am at.
week 1, sunday
Sorry I couldn't stop by yesterday.

No, I was mostly just looking for Pickles. I at least confirmed his body vanished like the others did by the end of the night, so there's that.

I ... thank you. I imagine it will bring some comfort to the others to know he was found.
no subject
Mm. I wish it could have been more, but... Anyway, whatcha making?

well.
they nod their head slowly. ]
You could make them, like, mashed potatoes.

Do you drink?

[ capitalism is hell. ]

The selection isn't excellent, and people keep pouring it out on the floor to commit murders with, but I suppose in desperate straits ...

[ admittedly the time last week was probably not on purpose but still. ]
I think it would be pretty easy to impress Famine. They don't seem like they eat a lot of good food.

[ huffing, taking a sip. ]
And if I am not allowed magic, I should like to excel at something.
no subject
Wow. Whatever they said to make you do this must have been really annoying.

They have self-admitted to some unpleasantness, but nothing beyond what I am used to.

[ i see... ]
no subject
Of course not. They can assume whatever they like about me.
[ lying. ]

So, in that case, you're definitely not stressing yourself out to the point of drinking?
