Hello... Pickles.
[ this is said exactly like someone who has never said the word pickles in their life. ]
anyway you think famine just wears that mask all day when they don't have to? the vision that comes in through the distorted air of the basement is none other than this guy. he looks startled, somehow ]
[ pickles :pleading: drops you the penthouse description for now
The penthouse, as one might expect of... a penthouse, is more spacious than the studios and built out with actual rooms. It's modestly furnished and nondescript to the point of emptiness: austere, wooden furniture and plain windows, impossibly fogged and streaked with water, even if the weather outside is clear; the sound of rain persists. Atop the desks are tidy lines of jars filled with looted supplies from the pharmacy, tools from the hospital, vials in a stand, and a stack of notes. It's neat, academic, and impersonal. There's also a polished, whittled statue of a wolf to the far side, as well as some keychains.
The 'decor' is otherwise limited to flowers. Drying from the ceiling, dying in vases, dropping petals that decay and vanish before they strike the ground. Two lotuses set in a china bowl, one starting to wrinkle and wither. His Death mask is hung up, but beside it is another fashioned firmly on one of the walls, as though grafted in, swollen onto the wood like a tick to skin. Basically these are the vibes, except less cozy and more surreal, gritty and strange as any of the other rooms. There's some couches and a TV too, for convenience.
nehan will get the door for him so he can trot inside. ]
...Good morning, Pickles. [ the vibes are that he's fine with a visit, with a muted curiosity. ]
[ theoretically it would be much more glamorous if someone like aventurine lived here, instead everyone gets depression.
anyway, it's him!! he blinks down in surprise at the figurines, then slowly walks his hands down his crutch so he can crouch down and fetch them. there is a very buried, slightly conflicted emotion in response, where he's touched, but—a little melancholic. his voice is professional, though. ]
...Thank you. And no, I have an excess of time these days. [ he's here for whatever. ]
WEEK 0 WEDNESDAY
What. How did you even do this.
no subject
Woof.
[ The device speaks, as it is not possessed by shitposts any longer:
The puppy notes that writing is the hardest form of communication. ]
no subject
[ walks over and gives pickles one headpat ]
Then just put the pawprint next time. I'll get the idea.
So someone stole your bed?
no subject
The puppy is concerned about the security of the lodgings as it has heard that someone has been putting leeches in blankets in another location. ]

[ Strange way to say his name, but it's his name, so he's okay with it.
The puppy greets you in return and asks if there were any new developments on your end.
But also, like. Eat an apple. Here. Pickles rolls one over to him. I guess they're at the island now?? ]
no subject
It depends on what you already know, or do not know.
[ not the fruit.... help them. they will pick up the apple, but don't eat it just yet. ]
no subject
Woof, woof.

Awooo...
[ The puppy missed you and others, but not much else and it is not sorry about that. ]
no subject
I have heard your accommodations sound marginally better.
[ he'll crouch down then beckon pickles to come closer ]
Let me see your fur. What did they do to you?
no subject
I'm not sure how this works, but if it's facetime, Pickles just kinda... shoves his body closer to the camera(??? wherever that is). ]
Woof, woof.
