Hm... Well, it's not really like they can just take it away? It would require undoing the whole process that brought you here in the first place, which seems more counterproductive than just letting you all keep it.
No, not really. I think I'm okay with what I have, but I guess I was wondering what things are permanent and what things are changeable. [...] But if I said I did?
[she's helpin'...she will water where they direct her and she actually seems to be kind of happy doing this. thank you pestilence.]
Just checking. [it's the energy of a wink without actually winking.] So if we can't change, it also means we only get one chance at finding a match, doesn't it? What if...[...well she doesn't like the possibility, but she thinks it's fair to ask.] If something does happen, and someone's match dies before you can find them, is that it? You don't have any other way to make yourself stronger.
[she's not even thinking murder, she's well aware there are some very strong personalities here that could probably get themselves killed.]
But we'll see what happens. If that does happen for whatever reason, there's always the chance we learn something new. That's the thing about this place-- the magic around it is always fluctuating.
It would be just the one, so choose wisely. They'd basically be sort of... obsessing over whatever you give them, so use your power for good. Or jokes, I guess.
[ Or evil but a cult member saying that will sound insane. ]
Consider it unquoted! [thank you. but with that, she does pause as she considers.]
Then...does that mean you don't know where these new words are coming from? [she shifts her arm to gesture vaguely to the ink that's slightly obscured by her bracelets.]
That's more... hmmm. Okay, the way I sort of explained this to someone else is, imagine all of this ritual and summoning stuff to be like cooking. But the recipe book they're using is really old, and some of the ingredients that were needed are kind of unavailable now or just hard to get by. So you use replacement ingredients that still get the job done, but because it's not exactly right, there are some hiccups that weren't supposed to happen.
[okay well this actually makes perfect sense to her judging by her expression.]
I think I get it. [the ritual's old as hell and because certain shortcuts had to be taken things have ended up this way.] So does that mean we should maybe expect other things like this to happen?
Even the stuff in this village might not stay this way. When we first set up shop here, some of the buildings weren't here, but then they popped up after. So, you know, maybe the shower problem might fix itself.
Well, we didn't get to decide what everything looks like.
I assume our area is just nicer since they don't want us to go, "Never mind, we want to not be babysitters anymore." Because then the chance of other cultists wanting this specific job instead gets lower-- no one wants to voluntarily stay somewhere sucky.

Is there any way to change the one that we have?
no subject
Why? Want to be something else?

Does it have to be an idea? Or can it be a person? [aerith, who does not know love arrows are real: can i one-sided lovearrow someone?]
no subject
[ Be funny. ]

And...can my partner actually use it on me? Or are we immune to our own powers?
no subject
[ The idea of someone not being able to be love arrowed just because they have it... horrible ]

Are the powers and connection the only things that come with an alignment like that? [no physical changes, etc?]
no subject
[ They consider this. ]
As far as I know, no. But don't quote me on that.

Why'd you pick this place to set up anyway? Convenience?
