We just need to keep her past this weekend. We have to go see the other cult members on Monday, and the low numbers is just going to get more and more suspicious because so much of it happens when we're blocking them from being able to peek in.
Really? [she seems surprised by this.] If anything, I would've thought the low numbers would've pleased them... But I guess if they don't know how it's happening...
Hmm, I think there is some misunderstanding. With the summoning they're doing that keeps making the monsters go haywire, it's not that they are actively trying to kill you. They're mostly just trying things, and if some of you end up dead, it's fine. The reason they brought forty of you here was to give them some wiggle room in case not all of you made it to the end of the two months.
But imagine it from their point of view. They're aware that maybe a monster or two are running around and attacking people, and then a few days later, that monster is dead. And that's already weird, because the monsters should be able to easily defeat all of you, but then it keeps happening. And then that will eventually make them realize there's periods of time where they can't see what's happening over here. And then they might want to check it out.
Basically, yes. It's sort of like being guinea pigs.
... it would likely be easier if it's on a Thursday, or if it's really just out in the open. Disguising a death as an accident or a consequence of the setting, like how Ishtar died, wouldn't seem weird.
It's just very specifically the time frame where we have to block them from viewing that's more risky. It just looks weird, if thirty something people are there on Saturday, and then by Sunday they're down four.
I understand. [a little uncomfortably. this whole subject is a bummer, but. sometimes you gotta know when's the best time to old yeller someone you like if necessary.] I don't know if anyone will try to go after her, but I'll pass this on to someone who I think is likely to want to do something about it. We already have enough problems without drawing the cult's attention.

If it's not safe for us to do something about Camille now, then when would it be less suspicious?
