It depends. If the problem is structural, it would make sense that you'd need a mechanical aid of some kind. Or surgery. Typically, medicine wouldn't "cure" something like this. [Like it wouldn't cure a broken leg even if maybe fantasy bullshit medicine probably can whatever.] But when you aren't sure of what the exact source of the problem is, you never know. Could just be a matter of finding the right ear drops, or working alongside a healing cleric, for all I can tell at a glance. But whether with a physical implement, or medication, or both... I'd hope something could at least alleviate your symptoms.
Not that I think it's your pressing concern at the moment. [Cult business is here.]
...I would call it a blessing. But hopefully it'll help you survive this place.
[A pause stretches out a second longer than they mean for it to.]
While I don't intend to see any of you again after this, I'll keep your condition in mind. It'd be nice if you had the option for some relief, when your dangers have passed.
Stay as unfamiliar as possible. [ he says, though he's privately a little amused at how serious she is... ] But yeah, that's the only one I'd like to settle as. It's not a bad job on its own.
[ this is impossible to fully discern thanks to the mask but they are looking at her like she is a teenager, like a little baby, why are you talking like this ]

So you were a doctor before you joined the cult?
no subject
Sort of. I was part of the—maybe you'd know it. The mafia. It's a sort of gang. I, ah, quit recently, and joined a cult. Now I'm quitting the cult.
So I suppose what's left is that I'm a doctor.

I am familiar with the mafia. [ she says this so seriously. she just means the concept. ]
Doctor is the best one to stay as.

...What were you dealing with before this?

Just some stuff. It doesn't really matter, I don't think it's relevant to this place.
