You are trapped.
When you finally awakened, you realize that you cannot move. You seem to have been placed into... something? After a few seconds, you realizes it's mechanical. An armored suit? These are normally not operated by people, but it looks like this one is designed for it. But you are not actually operating it. It's moving, walking, but your limbs are pressed tightly against the metal in the enclosed space. You cannot speak. There is something blocking your mouth, and the only noise you can make is you struggling against it.
That bitch got you. You aren't sure how she overpowered you, because your power should not have been suppressed that easily, but she somehow managed. You wonder, briefly, what sort of Arts she has, but you can't focus on that at the moment. You'll have to deal with her later.
Is there a later? You do not know. You are hit with a sickening, horrendous realization that this suit is powered by Originium. It is not that something is physically blocking you from speaking, it is the Originium dust clogging your windpipe that is stopping you. If you stay in this machine for much longer, you know that you are going to die. It is, essentially, a death trap for you. The cramped space is filled with black, which blocks out light, air and sound.
The mouth cannot scream. There is no fighting.
If only tears would flow from your eyes. Mother always said tears were powerful weapons.
But the eyes are not cooperating.
They have seen too many mountains fall and too many rivers dry up over the centuries. They have seen too many loved ones die. They have become dry, like the land after a nomadic city has passed through.
You see movement.
Ahead of you are three people. You recognize one of them as the Mechanist, one of Rhodes Island's Operators. The other is one of R.I.'s leaders, the Doctor, who you have had your eye on for a awhile. And the third is Saria. Saria, who you treasure so dearly, even though you do not think the feeling is mutual anymore. Politics change things, as always.
Your machine is walking towards them. You hear Saria say, "I'll take care of it." You realize you are going to die before the Originium will kill you.
She moves so quickly that, even if you had control of your limbs, you do not think you'd be able to dodge. In a blink, her hand is pressed against the chest area of the armor. There is nothing but pure hatred in her expression as she stares at the armor, at you, and even though you cannot see her hand, you know that it is being covered by thick calcium that will soon rip a hole through you. This metal is nothing against her.
And then the Doctor yells out, "Saria, no!"
The warning is not enough to stop the attack completely, but it is enough for it to not be fatal. It still blasts the metal casing, but enough that pieces of it are shattered off. Half your face is freed as the pieces crumble away. So many emotions flash inside of you-- anger, fear, bewilderment. You do not know what your face looks like, but you are sure those emotions are on it.
You want to be helped.
And the Doctor extends their hand to you.

Basically... someone from the company I work for was doing some project with the government. It was pretty suspect, so I slipped info of it to an ex-coworker for her to look into it.
Mmhm. The downside to working in my field is that you have a lot of weird, power hungry people who want to take advantage of scientific progress to make money.
