As I mentioned, I had to begin my spellbook again and ah ... start over, so to speak. But I am rapidly recovering, you'll find! I suppose I would consider my spellcasting at this point in time to be that of an advanced apprentice with a much larger pool of theoretical knowledge.
[ in dnd terms: he was an archmage, so at least level 18, but after being Orbed and Tadpoled, he got his ass smacked down back to 1st level and has been working his way back up. Functionally he's level 10 right now. ]
