[ stop trying to get them to be drunk and vulnerable. ]
If you have a preference for virgins, but the only people who sullied your presence were those who aren't, would you treat them with distaste? The fickle whims of a celestial creature.
Would you be disappointed? That the unicorns wouldn't like you.
I have thought very little about unicorns over my life, and I expect I will survive the knowledge that unicorns would hate me. What about you? You seem incredibly incensed by the knowledge that unicorns would be rude to you.
I am a little irritated by the thought a horse with a horn would try being vulgar with me, a wizard who could throw them into another dimension and rend their small minds until they are insane.
I know the Underdark. I am a drow. My people have risen out of the depths of the Underdark, however. We have made our home in a city called Rosohna, above ground in the territory where most of the Underdark resides far below.
[ that's ... different. ] No almighty stink kicked up when you rose and claimed land above ground? [ it's not like he really bothered enough to learn all the intricacies of the events that drove the drow underground, but. y'know. novel. ]
We left the Underdark long ago after rejecting Lolth and turning worship to the Luxon, the First Radiance and Lord of Light.
[ ironcally ]
I'm sure our world works much like your own. Of course there was always discontent with us and our lands. The Empire has been attempting territorial expansion in many areas, and they are encroaching always on Xhorhas territory. Their propaganda paint us - the drow, the goblins, and the duergar - as savages and terrible monsters.
... Strangely so, yes. Even down to Lolth. But I guess it shouldn't be so strange, given I'm already aware of three variations of where I'm from since arriving here.
The Underdark is generally known as an unpleasant place, despite the fact so many people live there. [ and to be fair he's met lolth-sworn before. ]
The Underdark is a place that tests whether you have the mettle you think you do. It can be beautiful, but it can be deadly. It is not a hell, full of annoying demons, but a place which has shaped the creatures living with its darkness.
These creature don't just wander out of the Underdark to cause havoc and chaos like the Empire claim.
...Don't you think we have enough to deal with than having vampire spawn released into our former underground habitation? Or, perhaps, your drows' only underground habitation.
Well, we do not, but the Underdark runs all below our city and the territory of Xhorhas. And I'm not sure whether or not to worry about your world being mine.
I suppose I have never heard of Baldur's Gate, but Exandria is very big.

I knew they were meant to be doe eyed over the virgins but I didn’t think they’d be so angry about people who weren’t.
[ hm. ] Potions don’t work on them? You could find out. I expect they’d loathe me, but sticks and stones.

You're mad they don't know you're an all powerful wizard.

They don't have to know I am to understand they should speak to me respectably.

I would counter this with the fact I don’t think they care drow hierarchy or politics.

And that is why they would be the rudest speaking animal.

You didn't seem surprised when I mentioned the Underdark. Whereabouts was your home? Relative to the surface, I mean.
