I've completed everything else in the world that I set out to do. I came here in search of something new.

But I did not join the cult out of some desire to see something granted. I only wanted to know if they were different. Actually capable of something.

... but I do believe they were on the right track. It was enough to pique my interest. At least for a short time.

Most cults have similar ideas and similar executions of their plans. Bringing a dead god into existence, consolidating power, controlling the masses, a little murder if things don’t go right—-

You say this as someone who is familiar with the idea of actual gods to be resurrected. The cult that I knew was a front, not actually connected to any deity, but instead just an egomaniac's front for collecting dead bodies and amassing followers.

It's following the cult tendencies now, yes. However, for those who aren't familiar with the idea of gods actually existing, it was interesting that they had any actual backing in reality.

Do not mistake us for desperate believers. I would not join something with false promises and pretty words. At least for myself, I agreed to join out of a scientific curiosity.

I'm not sure what it is you get out of a cult unless you fervently believe in something they are trying to sell you. Don't get me wrong, the power they're seeking can certainly be that belief.

There is nothing that their god could grant me that I couldn't satisfy on my own.
