night time at sea ... i have no idea what else to investigate so you know what he will exit the dining hall to go outside and try to see what he can see of the ocean and the deck and whatever else he can investigate while being outside, instead of monitoring kanda so he doesn't get in trouble like he should be ]

cloud gets to wander out onto the deck! the light coming from inside the banquet hall will reflect on the ocean waves, showing that they're smooth sailing. in the distance, cloud might be able to make out the outline of an island. over the next few minutes, it gradually grows bigger and bigger. there are two distinct rock formations, forming a curve.
though once he heads out there, he'll smell iron intermingled with the sea breeze. he can look around for its source, but it can't be identified in the darkness and if he wanders off too far, he'll be rudely called out to by a demon to get his ass back inside, you stupid pea-brained human. ]
