Well, I am not entirely interested in meeting a god to beg them for something. I dislike them, if I'm honest. Gods, and faith, and other such things which can't be studied and quantified.

It is a branch of magic which my culture keeps mostly to ourselves, and I would rather not say.

To put it very simply, it deals with time and some other such correlating things.
