[why did i tag earlier with that when i could just do this help me]
Oh? You have some experience then. I would say they need it, but I guess the three from Baldur's Gate have some experience with cults and gods as well.
Yeah. Summon materia are probably the rarest ones, and the strongest ones won't answer your call if you haven't proved yourself, but we've got a couple.
[ "joined a cult to summon god" cloud like cool mine comes in a marble and also my cyborg friend put the data in ]
It's not that they're lesser. It's more like it's the planet's memory of the gods that's in the materia. Summons can only show up for a set amount of time.
[Hmmm. It isn't out of the realm of possibilities when it comes to people's greed, but calling on a god - a god like one he knows - just for battle is wild.
But Cloud did make it sound... no, not like they were leashed, but that they wouldn't do it for just anyone.]
I see. I understand, as spellwork has similar limitations. It is just... godly power is not so easily taken usually where I'm from.
Yeah. We've got a bit of an advantage to that end, too. [ does not explain what it is because how do you explain chadley ] Most summon materia aren't gods, if that helps.
[ not that we would ever use the moogle and chocobo summon when much better ones are available buttttt ]

Once they do what's needed, then it is all up to you there. Do you think you can handle the challenge?
no subject
If the challenge ends up being taking on a weakened god and its cult, I've done similar enough already.
[ GODS COME IN LITTLE GLASS MARBLESSSS ]

Probably more familiar with this type of god than Aerith, Yuffie and me, yeah.
[ i forgot baldur's gate was a location and i was like the canon drop... how does he know... ]
no subject
What kind of gods are you familiar with?
no subject
[ sephiroth has not gone i become god destroyer of worlds them yet he's ignoring it ]
Getting the materia usually means having to prove ourselves against them, first.

little perk of curious interest at the first part. Acknowledgement? Like a familiarity.]
Materia... The things you put the magic inside?

I see... That's very interesting.

[ maybe they should ask shiva to grant wishes who knows it could happen ]

...
[Truly going through it a moment to try to figure out how to say what he wants. Listen, their gods are different sorta, so.]
You... Are these... lesser gods? You... summon gods just to... utilize them in a fight?
no subject
[ tilts his head as he thinks about lesser gods ]

[ though a little wryly; ]
You've got to best them in battle first, usually. That and the materia being the rarest to find kind of puts a damper on it being easy.
no subject
I only meant once you had it, but yes, it does sound a little complicated to obtain. At least you know you're capable once you do.
no subject
Yeah. We've got a bit of an advantage to that end, too. [ does not explain what it is because how do you explain chadley ] Most summon materia aren't gods, if that helps.

It didn't sound as if it were. The way Yuffie explained it as well, I had figured as much.
no subject
Right. She's pretty obsessed with materias, so she'd know. [ and share. a lot. ]
no subject
[Assigns her D&D thief class. That's all he knows. TTRPG only, not JRPG.]
She mentioned a little when we were discussing magic. Well, thank you for indulging my curiosity.
no subject
[ but he does not disagree with rogue because there is a reason she is assigned the steal materia. he shakes his head ]
S'fine. I've had to explain materia a... lot. [ sighing ] Aerith kept sending people to me.
no subject
[The way this has already been corrected by her, but he continues to assign her rogue.
Amusement bubbles up. IT'S FUNNY WHEN IT IS SOMEONE ELSE AND NOT HIM.]
She thought you could use some socializing.
no subject
[ does he. ]
no subject
I think she feels a little differently, it seems. Do you begrudge her for it?
no subject
What, for sending people my way? No.
