[ There's something incredibly disconcerting about seeing eyes so similar to his own, especially when he's supposedly the last of his kind, and so Aventurine reels back for just a second.

One that explains why you were so startled to see mine.

[ since he doesn't think aventurine was shocked by a pretty face. and scien knows his eyes are one of the more unique features of his appearance, even if his is by design ]

[ Hmmm. He does go back to staring at Scien's eyes for a moment, then shakes his head a little. ]

I normally don't see eyes that resemble mine.
