Okay, so... let's say, hypothetically, I found my monster buddy. And wished for the dead people to be alive. Even if I died in a blaze of glory fighting cultists or something [ okay yuffie....... why is this her headcanon ] those people would be able to escape and get home alive?

You cannot wish every dead person alive. You can wish one of them.

But yes, that should theoretically be fine. You'd just be altering the timeline that you're from in order to revive that individual.
