If there were ever a situation to display mistrust, I would think one like this would be high among them, true enough. In honesty, I'm surprised you weren't met with more initial violence.
We had planned for some violence initially before you caught us by surprise. We assumed most of you would clearly not take the situation well. Being brought here without consent, losing your things, your abilities, and having four cultist say they are trying to help.
Maybe being caught by surprise was helpful? [Everyone saw them looking like bozos first, which helped soften the cult blow later...] Being candid with your explanations may have done some good, too.
[Let them attack... They need their enrichment... Their meat pumpkins.]
A time and place for secrets, hm? Given the delicate nature of your operation, I can understand that. That said, without understanding what was going on, I fear many here would cause enormous amounts of trouble primarily for themselves if left entirely to their own devices.
Many, not all. [SOME PEOPLE are a little too quick to violence for his LIKING but it's fine, probably.] Nearly everyone I've spoken to has been very kind in their own way, though, that much is very true.
[AAAAAAAAA also this is so funny. Mentally assigns Wario a bozo who would let kids climb all over them not out of fondness but out of decision paralysis on how to get them off.]
Of course. Children are lovely! They're so thoughtful and sweet, and they're much sharper than many would give them credit for. They can see things easily overlooked by adults. [And then, amused:] I take it you're unused to working with them, then?

I see... Well, if that's fine enough, then I'll leave it be. I'm certain everyone has other concerns on their minds at the moment, after all.
[Not signing letters because they're thinking about cults or something damn.]

Yes, many of you are exceedingly unsettled and mistrusting. Not that I blame you.

[Only like, what, three attempted attacks?]

It worked out in our benefit. A little. [ SOME people still attacked them because they are rude. ] There was no reason for us to keep it a secret.
Not this in particular anyway.

Yes, I imagine more than a couple would have attacked us without hesitation. Not that I wouldn't have loved to see them try.
no subject
I think many of us here would rather violence be discouraged rather than encouraged...
no subject
Mm. I'm not sure about that; however, I will give you all the benefit of being a great collection of do-gooders.

You sound as if you were one of the top contenders for being a do-gooder.
no subject
I do?
no subject
Your sheet on the board does a good job of it.
no subject
Does it? [Please sir those are the most Catholic-ass answers.] Well, I suppose I'm grateful for the good impression, at the very least.

Are you a priest?

I see. You teach... academics, or the way of the faith?
no subject
Academics, of course. [HE'S NOT A TEACHER OF THE FAITH!!!!!] To the little ones at the orphanages, up until their early teenage years.

You like children...?
[ SAID IN THE WAY OF SOMEONE WHO IS NOT LIKE INTERESTED AT ALL IN CHILDREN ]
no subject
Of course. Children are lovely! They're so thoughtful and sweet, and they're much sharper than many would give them credit for. They can see things easily overlooked by adults. [And then, amused:] I take it you're unused to working with them, then?

...
[ children....... ]
The only children I have ever had to care for was my younger brother.
no subject
Oh! Did the two of you get along well?
[He says, fully expecting the answer to be yes because why wouldn't it be??]
no subject
Yes, we did. We still do.
no subject
I'm very glad to hear it. [Because the most important thing in the world is FAMILY!!!!] May I ask how much younger he is?
