I was told that someone new would be affected by the ritual today. I wanted to know if there were signs we could look for to identify them, and if so, whether we would need to wait until the trial to kill them.

What I can say for certain is that it makes a person more aligned with their assigned monster—so more monstrous in general.

I think it'd be acceptable. But unclear if it's possible. The ritual on Saturday is meant purely to weaken the monster enough so that it can be killed.

Chances are high for that, yes, unless someone prepares enough that they can defeat an entire monster by their own brute force and fit.
