I did sign up. All three of us came here of our own volition, though we changed our minds once some of the details of the plan became more evident.

... I was simply done in my home. No new challenges, no reason to stay. The opportunity came while I was between projects, and I answered.

If anything, remaining in my world may have been more detrimental.

It probably would've been a boon for the world, if I stayed and dedicated myself to other things. But that's not the scope I'm interested in.

For those that I was responsible for, I think they would have grown complacent the longer I remained among them. Too reliant on me and what I could do for them, instead of giving them a chance to think of how they could improve themselves.
