Both... I suppose. I'm actually not too sure how it works, but I also had no idea I was even an elf for half my life, so it's a learning curve.

But I try to find ways to make them survive in environments not typically suited for them-- switching biomes, testing out what works and what doesn't, and things like that. Boring plant work, I guess.
