anyway it's truly so funny how trusting lucas is. he really is just someone who wants to believe in someone, anyone, and he has only just recently placed his faith into someone who refuses to do wrong by him. scien doesn't rush lucas, instead just waiting patiently. lucas could even decide in this moment that he doesn't want to do this at all, and scien would simply just go back to kissing him with an abundance of caution.
but as he takes the antidote, some of that heaviness will return. it won't be to the same debilitating extent as before, but with having to put in more effort to use his strength, it simultaneously lowers the maximum threshhold of how much damage he can do.
scien isn't thinking about that, though. he's just endeared by lucas choosing to reach out for his hand first. so to answer him, the same way that lucas has been answering him over the past few weeks, scien will give paw without question. ]
